A classic bike meet at Midway Truck Stop, April 2002

Midway Truckstop is a well-known roadside café beside the A41 near Whitchurch in Shropshire. On Sundays it is a popular hangout for motorcyclists.
One this Sunday in April there was a classic bike meet. However, the beautiful classics were mingled with all the modern bikes there. The effect was less of a 'show', more a big meet. A wide variety of bikes, and a huge number of riders (probably 500+ machines were there). The café sold a huge number of cooked breakfasts & mugs of tea. |
